Alligators Facts From Microsoft copilot

Ancient Survivors: Alligators are like living relics from the past. Their ancestors appeared over 200 million years ago, which means they’ve been around since the time of dinosaurs. Imagine that—swimming alongside T. rex and Stegosaurus! 🦖
Two Species: There are two main species of alligators: the American alligator (found in the southeastern United States and Mexico) and the Chinese alligator (which resides in certain parts of China). The American alligator is the larger of the two, growing up to around 13 feet in length on average, but some individuals can reach a whopping 14 feet! Meanwhile, the Chinese alligator is more modest in size, usually averaging around 7 feet. It’s like the difference between a jumbo jet and a compact car in the reptile world. 🐊
Tail Regeneration: Alligators have a nifty superpower—they can regrow parts of their tail! After an injury, their bodies kick into regeneration mode, rebuilding up to nine inches of tail. It’s like Mother Nature’s own repair shop. 🔧
Parental Dedication: Forget the stereotype of cold-blooded, distant parents. Alligators are actually among the most attentive in the reptile world. Pregnant females build nests out of vegetation to protect and hide their eggs. And get this—they stick around with their little ones for as long as three years! That’s some serious commitment. 🐣
Glowing Eyes: Ever wondered what alligators do after dark? Their eyes glow! Yep, those beady eyes light up like tiny lanterns in the night. It’s both eerie and cool. 👀
Temperature-Dependent Gender: Alligator babies’ sex is determined by temperature. Warmer nests tend to produce males, while cooler nests yield females. It’s like they’re following a secret reptilian recipe for gender. 🌡️
Fast Swimmers, Short Sprinters: Alligators can zip through the water at speeds of up to 22 miles per hour (35 kph). But here’s the catch: they tire quickly. So, they’re like the sprinters of the swamp—fast bursts of energy followed by chill time. 🏊‍♂️
U-Shaped Snouts: Unlike their crocodile cousins with V-shaped snouts, alligators rock a U-shaped snout. It’s like they’re saying, “We’re the trendsetters of the reptile runway!” 🕶️

The Republicans Are Afraid of the NRA. ‎

Sunday, ‎September ‎1, ‎2024

The Republicans are using Tim Walz service record and comments about his service to distract from a major issue facing America Gun violence. Instead of talking about what we’re going to do about gun violence in schools and other public places. they want to talk about the record of one man. They must be afraid of the National Rifle Association.

This is what Statesmanship looks like. When Joe Biden got the detainees out of Russia, I thought I was watching the West Wing the TV show but instead it is reality.

Next Sunday will be one of my favorite sporting events of the year. And the best sporting event I have seen live, it is the Indy 500. Which will air at 11:00 PM on NBC and Peacock. My pick to win the race is Santino Ferrucci A.J. Foyt is the car owner. I hope we have a safe competitive race. And I encourage you all to tune in.

Red Lobster File For Bankruptcy
I just read that Red Lobster is filing for bankruptcy. I have only been to one restaurant once. But found the salad and cheese rolls, the best part of the meal the entrée was some type of seafood I do not remember what I ordered but it was devoid of taste.
For those of you who like Red Lobster they say all their Florida locations will remain open.

Who remembers the Yankee Network and the Yankee Network Weatherman? Here is one of their advertisements I found online. The Yankee network was one of the first on the radio around New England. The Yankee Network had 27 affiliates at its peak. For more information. Look at this Wikipedia entry
